These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Chronica app (“the app”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with Apple’s App Store Terms of Service and these Terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app, except to the extent permitted by law
- Interfere with or disrupt the app or the servers and networks it relies on
Your content
Your reading data — shelves, sessions, notes, ratings, and goals — belongs to you. It is stored on your device and, if enabled, in your own iCloud account. We do not claim ownership of it.
Book information
Book details, cover images, and bestseller information are provided by third-party sources (including ISBNdb, The New York Times, and Open Library). This information may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. We provide it “as is” and are not responsible for its accuracy.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the app.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or discontinue the app, in whole or in part, at any time.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Colombia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
